Disney Cruise Lines unveiled its newest ship on Thursday, promising to “immerse guests in Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars stories like never before.”
The Disney Wish, the fleet’s fifth ship, will debut in the summer of 2022.
AquaMouse, Disney’s first-ever at-sea attraction, is aboard the ship.
“Complete with show scenes, lighting and special effects, and splashtacular surprises, this wild water ride is sure to delight everyone in the family as they zig, zag and zoom through 760 feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper decks,” the official Disney blog says.
The ship also offers a variety of dining options. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is the first “Frozen” themed theatrical dining experience, followed by World of Marvel, the first-ever Marvel cinematic dining experience, and 1923, the year The Walt Disney Company was created.
There are many entertainment areas on board, including an Imagineering lab and adult-only areas such as the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge.
The Disney Wish will sail for the first time on June 9, 2022. The ship will depart from Port Canaveral on a five-night cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, and Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island. The general public will begin booking on May 27, 2021.
